About CernySmith Assessments & Training
Empowering global people to live and adjust.
CernySmith is a research, development, testing, and training organization focused on developing materials and services that support coaches, organizations, and people living and working cross-culturally. Our goal is to help global people who live, work, or study abroad experience another culture to its fullest.
Studies show that failure to adapt to a new culture can be costly. Successful adjustment doesn’t often come easy; it takes time, commitment, skill, and effort. We realize that healthy adjustments can lead to greater satisfaction, increased productivity, and general well-being and we believe our powerful assessments can equip people with the tools they need for success.
CSA (CernySmith Assessments), are highly personalized, online assessments that screen and evaluate cross-cultural adjustment and stress. Assessments include pre-field, on-field, and post-field evaluations. They provide strategies and tips on how to enhance transitions within a new culture. These accurate, highly researched tools are used in over 130 countries by thousands of coaches, international organizations, expatriates, families, and students.
In addition to the CSA, CernySmith also provides CernySmith Intercultural Awareness and Effectiveness Training Series (IAES), a comprehensive training program that consists of 4 separate modules designed to help people and groups prepare for successful transitions to new cultures. This pre-field cross-cultural training is used by organizations, churches, HR departments, and individuals who want to learn how to be culturally effective.
We strongly feel that if we can show global people their strengths and challenges by asking the question “How are you doing?
